A Love Story Continued

One of the first things I learned to make (after the family pendants) were adorable, glittery gemstone trees. I don't recall where I saw my first one but I just loved it!

The combination of wire, stones and glitzy gems peeked my interest.

The first one I made was, of course, with stones from my brothers collection. Needless to say, there were not enough single colours to fill the branches so it turned out to be multicoloured.

I believe I gifted that one to my daughter.

With practice and a little vision, they started to look much better. Although I did like the Unakite as a base I went with rocks instead for a more natural look.

Someone asked me where I got my rocks. Well as well as working on jewelry I have been renovating my old house. Yes. Me. No contractors lol. So long story short I wanted to do something different with my front yard. I decided on a beach theme of sorts.

That's when the idea of a rock base struck. I carefully sorted out the most intriguing stones, bleached and rinsed them and left them to dry. The finished product did not disappoint.

I have several pre made available in my shop but custom orders are always welcome :)

I hope you have enjoyed reading my blog thus far. I'd love to know what you think ... if there are any suggestions ... please comment

Until next time ....
